Opal and Diamond Brooch

This is an outstanding piece of black opal from Lightning Ridge Australia. Claw set in acid tested white gold this opal has eight old cut brilliant diamonds, grain set at each end, with a mille grain edge surround. The opal measures approximately 23mm x 16.2mm x 7.2mm,with an estimated weight of 17cts. The colour range of this stone, when doing the "Walk Test"(Walking from one end of the shop to the other) is truly stunning, from green/blue to pin fire red. Apologies, but the photographs are in no way a reflection of it's true beauty. It has to be seen to be believed.
